NEW! Pet portraits now also available in watercolor! Check out my Pet Portrait Gallery to view portfolio (Matting and Standard framing included). All watercolors are painted on professional archival Arches 140 lb watercolor paper.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

The first step in the process is to CONTACT me, FayBecca, the artist, at either Faybeccadesigns.com or [email protected] to simply begin a dialogue. It is always good to talk about what you want so we can explore the possibilities. My goal is to make a portrait affordable and to work within your personal budget.

HOW WILL IT LOOK?

For my oil and acrylic portraits, the stretched gallery-wrapped canvas format works well for a singular close-up. I normally extend the painting over onto the 1.5″ sides, which clients love and gives the painting a 3D effect. This thicker format allows you to hang your artwork without the need for framing, which results in an extra expense.

The side profile also looks great and sophisticated painted a simple black. It is up to you and can be your own personal design. Depending on preference, a standard canvas support can be used but will need to be framed. Framing for acrylic and oils are not included in the price.

Watercolor portraits are painted on high quality 140 lb paper and are matted and framed with a standard frame, which is included in the price of the watercolor painting. You are welcome to change the frame to a frame you prefer but it will not included in the price.

HOW DO I COMMISSION A PET PORTRAIT?

Please send good resolution photo via email. If you would like to know what makes a good photo, please visit my FAQ page for more information. To begin your commissioned painting, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required with your photo images.

The finish time depends upon other portraits already in progress. I’d estimate 1-3 weeks for acrylic and 1-3 months for oil, depending on the medium you choose, (oil portraits take longer because of the drying process), and on how many portraits have been commissioned at that time.

If you want to commission the pet portrait as a gift, please let me know about your time frame so we can work within that special date. Christmas gifts should allow more time (3-4 months), so plan ahead to avoid any last minute anxiety and to ensure a timely delivery. If a deadline cannot be met, I can happily issue a gift certificate.

When your pet portrait is completed, I will email you a photo of it for approval. You will be given one round of adjustments, if needed. (Please realize that adjustments will require additional time to execute and drying time. When finalized, your approval is requested via email.) The balance is also due at this time.

Once payment is received, your portrait will be readied for shipping. If you live locally, I will have the honor of delivering your portrait first-hand so there would not be a delivery charge.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

All original artwork is commissioned for personal use only and may not be reproduced without consent or used for financial gain. Please be advised that I retain full reproduction Copyright on all my creations.

SHIPPING CHARGES?

Arranging reliable shipping of your valuable artwork is essential. Professional packing/shipping charges are additional (there is no markup). You will be given the shipping amount once packaged and I prefer to use the U.S. Postal Service for all my shipping in the U.S. International rates would apply for portraits shipped outside the U.S. All local commissions within the Orlando, Florida area will be delivered personally.
