Hello Again!  Well, the Christmas rush and holidays are over and it is time to get back to work.  I hope everyone had a wonderful day with family and friends.  It was lovely for me as I received lots of art supplies to start off the new year.  This is a good thing because I had started several Christmas pet portrait gifts efore the holidays and realized that there is just not enough hours in a day or days in a week to paint a beautiful pet portrait gift for someone.  Instead of the pet portraits, I gave the recipients a Gift Certificate!  Now it is time to finish up those gifts and now have time to spend painting them well.  It is important to know, as an artist, your limitations….I am slowly learning mine.  Please stay with me and watch several more dogs come to life on canvas.  I will be doing the following dog portraits within the next few weeks.  I am excited and can’t wait to show you the end results.

These four dogs are being painted and here is what I have so far.

Fletch Original

Meet “Fletch” a well-loved Golden Retriever who has crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” and now will find his immortality portrayed in oil on canvas.  I am looking forward to working on this sweet golden.

Meet “Madsen” a beautiful Black Labrador Retriever that I am painting for a lovely southern lady’s daughter.  This is is a late Christmas present but she has been so patient and, fortunately, I have already started painting him and will be showing you progress before I start my next painting session.

These are my pet portraits to start the new year!  I hope you are going to delve into some great projects for 2016.  Please watch the progress of these four-legged friends as I bring them to life on canvas.  Happy New Year!!
