ART CLASSES HAVE BEGUN
I guess I am just born to teach! It was my passion for 30 years as a Public School Library Teacher and now with my art. Recently, I have felt a strong yearning to share my talent along with the ups and downs on being a self-taught artist. I have learned so much over the past ten years and would like to help others that are wanting to become an artist but do not know where to start. When I began talking about this to a few people, I found that there were many that wanted to take an art class…but didn’t know where to go or how to start. I then decided to conduct classes in my home and studio. I don’t have a lot of space in my art studio, so I decided to limit the class to a small group of three or less. This way I can give one-on-one assistance as they learn.
Session 1 – Painting with a Purpose
This session will be four weeks long and during this time, the students will learn all about what supports they can chose from, the color wheel, painting techniques and mediums, value and hues, and composition. This session will run from April 12 – May 3, 2017. Additional sessions will be added depending on interest. Each session will build on the previous one as students progress. I will be adding additional classes per week if more people want to join in. If you are interested, please click HERE and give me with your contact information and I will get back to you with information on joining this session and upcoming class sessions in the future.
I look forward to this new adventure in teaching and hope you will follow along as I will be posting updates on what we are doing and art my students are producing. It will be fun and at the same time a new challenge!
